Swallowtail Birthday Card

I made this card for my BFF's birthday using the Swallowtail stamp.
I am in love with this stamp!
I stamped the butterfly in basic black craft ink and then embossed with black powder.
To color the butterfly, I first used my Stampin' write markers and then I filled my aqua painter with alcohol and blended the colors together. Once that dried (which was fast because of the alcohol), I painted a layer of Champagne Mist glimmer paint on top:

January Club Projects: Valentine's Day!

In January, we created two beautiful projects for Valentine's using products from the Spring Seasonal Catalog.

First, a vintage inspired gift box using the Tea for Two designer series paper and the Hearts a Flutter, Collage Curios, and That's the Ticket stamp sets (all of which carried over to the Annual Catalog).  Accessories used were:  Soda Pop Tops (small), Paper Doilies, Vanilla Flower Trim, Pink Pirouette/Rose Red Two-Tone Ribbon, and the Large Rhinestone jewels.

The Card we made was created using the More Amore product Suite and the Honeycomb embossing folder (A favorite!).  We used the chalkboard technique as outlined in this video tutorial I put together for the class. I plan to use this technique A LOT in my upcoming projects... especially with the new Chalk Talk stamp set!

"Year in Review" mini-album

Here is the project we made in our December Club - a Year in Review mini-album!
The album is a hybrid project made with a combination of traditional materials as well as prints from My Digital Studio. All materials were from the Twitterpated collection. We even managed to get a little fabric in! And while the traditional materials are no longer available, the digital kit is! That is one of the things I love about MDS! Having your favorite collections available forever! :-)
We used a simple accordion fold technique to make up the body of the album, and each page featured a pocket with a monthly journaling card created in MDS. The front of each pocket featured a band for inserting a photograph for each month:

About to do some catch up!

Hello! Well, it has been quite a while since I have posted and I am finally getting 'round to doing a big round of catch up! Get ready for a big rush of overdue blog posts and projects - including all the back projects we did in club!

I am making a new commitment to do a better job of keeping my blog up to date, while I take a year off from my stamping club. Expect lots of new and exciting things to happen soon! :-) I have started out with a brand new blog design using the Sunshine & Sprinkles MDS Collection. I hope you like it!
